The DFIRST AI Video Editor brings professional post-production capabilities directly into your workflow. Instead of exporting files to external software, you can now modify, combine, and polish your video generations right on the canvas.
How to Access the Editor
Select a Video: Navigate to any AI-generated video node on your whiteboard.
Open Menu: Right-click on the video node.
Launch: Select "Edit Video" from the pop-up menu.
What It Can Do
The editor interface is designed for both quick adjustments and complex compositions.
1. The Toolbar (Left Panel)
Trim: Cut unwanted sections and adjust the start/end times of your clip.
Adjust & Filter: Modify visual settings (brightness, contrast) or apply artistic filters to change the mood.
Text & Captions: Add custom text overlays with full control over font and color. You can also generate subtitles or upload
.srt/.vttfiles.Overlay: Layer images, logos, or emojis on top of your video for branding.
My Uploads: Access your personal library of assets to drag and drop into the scene.
2. The Timeline (Bottom Panel)
Merge Clips: Combine multiple video nodes into a single timeline to tell a longer story.
Split & Arrange: Slice clips into segments and rearrange their order.
Add Tracks: Use the "+ Add Clip" button to insert additional footage.
Zoom & Scale: Use the timeline scale tools to fine-tune specific frames.
3. The Canvas (Main Window)
Visual Editing: Resize and reposition video elements directly on the preview screen (e.g., create a "picture-in-picture" effect).
Live Preview: Play back your edits in real-time before saving.

Marketing-Ready Assets: Add brand logos, promotional text, and calls-to-action to raw AI generations.
Social Media Content: Quickly resize and caption videos for different platforms (e.g., 9:16 for Stories vs. 1:1 for Feeds).

Once you are satisfied with your edits, click "Save changes" in the top bar to update the video node on your whiteboard, or export the file for external use.
